We have tackle the most annoying problem for all employee regarding their email system that was currently hosted in Singapore. Their inbound and outbound mail flow was terrifying slow in delivery process. To encounter that we deploy a Microsoft Exchange Server with Microsoft Active Directory which was physically located in their office. In addition for a smoother mail flow, all the employee also enjoying the benefit from other collaboration features in Microsoft Exchange to build up their efficiency while doing work.

With around 800 employees in Malaysia and over million customer, email system is crucial application that required 100% availabity for Elken. We’ve found that their single Microsoft Exchange 2003 server is not really up for this task. We’ve successfully deployed the new Microsoft Exchange 2007 for Elken which include a two pair of cluster:

  • Mailbox Single Copy Cluster (Active – Passive)
  • Client Access and Hub Transport Network Load Balanced Cluster (Active – Active)

This deployment also involving data migration from the old stand alone Microsoft Exchange 2003 to this new clustered Microsoft Exchange 2007 environment.
